The Insurance Academy-NE is an accredited learning centre of the Insurance Institute of India which is the only professional Institute of India devoted solely to Insurance related education.

The Insurance Academy-NE was established under the active support of Govt. of Assam in the year 2009 at Guwahati for the purpose of imparting Insurance Education to all section of people those who wants to take insurance as a carrier. This is the first accredited learning centre in the country.

lam happy to know that lnsurance Academy North East is launching a distance education program in lnsurance especially for the benefit of the people of North Eastern Region. lam sure this would go a long way in equipping the insurance professionals in the Region with required skills and help in a big way to generate employment in the insurance sector.

In a de-tariffed era we need our consumers to be well versed on the concept and social value of insurance to protect his/her own rights.

Our object is to groom a complete insurance professional.

1. To promote insurance education and to insist IRDA to recognise iii diplomas for appointment in insurance sector as a recognised qualification.

2. IRDA should consider licentiate certification course of iii as one of the requisite qualification for granting agency license.

3. All insurance company to give due weightage to insurance diploma for appointment in any cadre.

Infrastructure :

The academy ‘s City Centre is fully furnished and well equipped with all latest electrical gadgets and housed in the third floor Bardoichila Bhawan (ASC-C), Block-1, G.S. Road, Bhangagarh, Guwahati. This apart the academy is having its own college campus at Borsapara, Guwahati which is likely to be operational in the near future.

PR Support

Cabsford Public Relations, the pioneer PR agency of the North East, has been engaged to extend professional public relations support to the Academy. In addition to provide PR support services, Cabsford will also impart PR training to the candidates of various courses at the Academy so that they are equipped with the skills required for image building and converting networking into business.
